One day “Islamic study Camp” is being conducted at Peace Propagation Center on Sunday 13th December from 2 pm to 6 pm by our Muslim brothers from Kerala. This camp shall consist of speeches on topics like

• “Tazkiya – self purification”,
• “Da’wah – Conveying the message of Islam”
• “Discussions on other important issues”.

The main speakers for the evening would be Brother P.M.A Gafoor & Brother Asweel E.N.

The Da’wah tour which started from 24th September to 3rd October, was a great experience to learn about people of different region & race in terms of propagating the truth of Islam.

Malaysia:

Although the visit was arranged in short time, Brother Ali met up with quite a few individuals involved in Welfare as well as Da’wah work in Malaysia. He spent the first two days in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia.

With first day gone in meetings & Seminars, Brother Ali went out on field work on the second day. He visited two famous Chinese temples to have a dialogue with the Buddhist monks and other worshipers. He spent nearly half day in these temples, learning about their culture and presenting the message of Islam to them. Though they are soft and friendly, they did not allow the video or photo recording of the dialogue. After a lot of requests, they agreed for a few snaps:

In the above image, Brother Imran Ali engaged in Dawah with Buddhist Worshiper. He had no knowledge yet tried to explain things and later smiled and said “I do not know anything about it”!

In the above image, Brother Ali engaged in Da’wah with Buddhist Worshiper. He had absolutely no knowledge why he was worshiping these idols. Hence, Message of Islam was best presented to him.

In the above image, Imran Ali engaged in Da’wah with Taoist Worshiper. She had pretty good knowledge about her belief. Although full of shirk, she tried giving some logical reasoning.

In the above image, Brother Ali with the “Diety of Fortune”. Ali asked many who bowed to this idol if it brought fortune to them, everyone just smiled away!

Later, we traveled to the famous Batu caves in the outskirts of Malaysia. These caves are famous Hindu worship center in Malaysia. Brother Ali and Dr Muna ventured into this temple, meeting up with people and presenting them the message of Islam.Few snaps from there:

In the above image, Brother Imran Ali at the famous “Batu Caves”; This is the center of shirk for Hindus in Malaysia. It expands on a huge area and extends upto a cave. It has nearly 300 steps and has a beautiful cave inside.

In the above image, Imran Ali engaed in Dawah with the temple assistant at Batu caves. The person was very polite and knew absolutely nothing about Islam. He thought Muslims worship Muhammad! Shame on us Muslims for not taking the message to so many millions out there!

In the above image, Imran Ali engaged in Dawah with one of the head priests of the temple which was below the Batu Caves. The lady worshiper and her daughter look on (might be surprised to see a bearded Muslim in their temple!). The person was a real gentleman and dealth with us very politely and professionally. He took us around the temple explaining things. He was knowledgeable. Later he listened carefully to the 15 minutes talk given by Brother Ali on Islam to him. He also asked questions which showed he heard the message!

In the above image, Dr Muna engaged in Dawah with a lady worshiper at Batu Caves. Just like many, this lady knew nothing about her religion and said that she worships the idols because her parents did so. However, she keenly listened to the message of Islam given by Dr. Muna

Meetings:

We were fortunate enough to meet up with Brother Mohd Shariff Ghani, the General Secretary of  Malaysian Indian Muslim Missionary council, with whom we had a 2 hour meeting. During this meeting, he explained us the level of Da’wah work going on in Malaysia. He also explained us the legalities involved and the great support that Malaysian government gives to this kind of work.

Brother Imran Ali & Brother Mohd Shariff Ghani

Brother Mohd Shariff had played major roles in many NGOs and is actively involved in Da’wah as well as welfare activities in Malaysia. His work is appreciated highly by the government and ministry of Malaysia. A humble and smiling person, Brother Mohd Shariff explained us the dire need of Da’wah work required in Malaysia. He said that there is an urgent requirement of Islamic Orators who can deliver the message of Allah in the most effective and proper way.

Later we met up with few more people connected to other NGOs.

Singapore:

After Malaysia, Brother Imran Ali traveled to Singapore, which was just 30 minutes drive from Malaysia. Spending the first day in city tour, we ventured out on Da’wah field work on the second day. The first visit was to a famous Chinese temple where Brother Ali met up with the head of administration and few worshipers. This temple was very strict and did not respond properly. They were very rude and rough when dealing with Tourists. They might have had bitter experiences with tourists in the past, hence the behavior. However, brother Ali tried his best to give the message of Islam to them. With many restrictions, we could grab just these snaps:

In the above image, Brother Ali near “Deity of Fortune”. Buddhist believe that if you take three rounds of this temple and then make your presence to this idol, you will get money.

In the above image, Brother Imran ali engaged in Dawah with the Head of administration at this Chinese temple. The response was negative and he was just not ready to listen to anything from Ali. Unfortunately, Brother Ali could only listen to him but could not give the message of Islam to him as he did not wanted to hear it. But brother Ali could only manage to say “God is one without any images”!

In the above image, Imran Ali engaged in Dawah with this man of Chinese origin. He was the only one who was very polite and listened to the message. He acknowledged that he understood it.

In the above image, He wanted to take a picture with us. he said “No one ever presented me the message of Islam in my life in Singapore”. Once again, shame on us Muslims!

We could spend only half day doing the field work. Singapore laws are very strict when it comes to religious matters. Irrespective of which religion one belongs to, the law is very strict to ensure no communal disharmony. We later learnt that it is against the law to approach public places or religious worship places and talk about your religion to them in Singapore! But as always, if the other person does not mind, then there should be no problems in presenting your message. That’s what we did alhumdulillah!

Next day we met up with people of some Organizations. We were also fortunate to meet with the team of “Darul Arqaam”, which is officially known as “Muslims convert association”. Brother Ali and Dr. Muna met up with all the executive members of Darul Arqaam. They displayed an excellent example of hospitality. They also gave a presentation of their work. Later Brother Ali presented the ways in which work is going on in India. He explained how Indian government is very friendly and appreciates the work of spreading peace. Darul Arqaam will be completing 30 years this year. Mashallah, they have grown high and are now the biggest organization working in Singapore.

Alhumdulillah, This trip to South East Asia was surely splendid and fruitful!
